Every day without fail, the production lines are cleaned by hand
All Domohorn Wrinkle products are manufactured at our own factory in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. We create a thoroughly dust-free, germ-free environment in our factory, which has been assessed as having the same level of cleanliness as the operating room in a hospital. One of the tasks performed every day without fail in order to maintain a clean environment is a four-hour manual cleaning process.
When it is time to clean, all production lines in the factory are shut down. The first hour is spent manually disassembling the lines into their 198 constituent parts. The next two hours are spent cleaning each part carefully with ethanol. The final hour is spent reassembling and then checking the production lines. Once this has been completed, production is resumed.
Because we believe that safety and security are even more important than sales numbers and efficiency.
You could search the whole wide world and still find hardly any companies who spend this much time on cleaning. People sometimes ask us whether this level of effort is really necessary. In this technologically-advanced age, we could switch to an automated cleaning system using machines, and that approach might well be cheaper and more efficient.
However, rather than making lots of products, our aim is to build an abundance of trust. What if we delivered a product to a customer and it turned out to have something wrong with it? What if dust had got into it? What if the container was dirty? If that happened, we would forfeit our customer’s trust, no matter how effective our products might be. To make sure that never happens, we keep our safety levels high by prioritizing meticulous checking and cleaning by human beings, even if it does take a lot of time and effort.

We do this to display our confidence in the safety of our production lines, and also to give our customers the peace of mind that comes from knowing exactly where our products are made, and exactly who makes them.
